ClickUp is an immensely popular productivity tool used by small businesses to organise their documents and work.
One of the best things about ClickUp is the way that you can share forms, documents, boards, Gantt charts and more with people outside of your company.
The only thing is that you're stuck sharing links at doc.clickup.com or share.clickup.com, which means your customers are going to know you're using a third-party system.
Basically, your only option is sharing ugly unbranded links.
There are a couple of things you can do to get around this though.
Method 1: redirect
The first thing you could do is set up a simple redirect from yoursite.com to doc.clickup.com/yOuRdOc.
If you're having any trouble figuring out how to set this up, simply google the name of your domain manager, e.g. GoDaddy or Namecheap, and 'redirect'. There should be an instruction page that shows you how you can set up the redirect so that you can start sharing acme.com.
There are two problems with this solution:
1) It doesn't keep the user at yoursite.com. They end up on the ugly ClickUp URL, at which point they might find it strange that they were redirected in the browser.
2) You can't change anything about the ClickUp page. You can't set it up to have your own branding, or add your own analytics, live chat, custom CSS, etc.
That's where Cloakist's method comes in.
Method 2: custom domain
The second option is to use a service like ours which puts your ClickUp URL at your own custom domain, seeing as ClickUp don't offer this feature out of the box (unfortunately).
What happens when you do this is a user goes to yoursite.com, sees your ClickUp page, but stays at yoursite.com.
We can additionally take it to the next level by customising the font and general branding of the form so that customers never know that you're using ClickUp. They just see a page which looks like it's part of your site.
If that's interesting to you, you can try out Cloakist for free by going here.
